>> On Track explained...
The ON-TRACK concept has been designed to help people track their training progress and help them train more effectively throughout the year in an effort to reach their goals sooner.
Due to the intermittent nature of ski training and the heavy outside demands of work and other things which often prevent
consistent and sustainable performance improvement, people often progress well during intensive training then relapse.
ON-TRACK has been designed to keep progress on an upward curve throughout the year through personalised training plans
which are fully adapted to suit each individual and their goals and time frames.
We aim to:
- analyse your technical skiing to identify technical strengths and weaknesses (on snow).
- analyse your general and specific physical conditioning and lifestyle again identifying strengths and weaknesses.
- train your mental skills and also identify strengths and weaknesses in this area.
- take a closer look at your personal equipment through our “fast skis” workshop approach.
All this information will help us better evaluate where you are in terms of your goals, and can therefore help you plan better to focus on the work that needs done.
We’ll provide you with a personalised time-phased training programme which will take into account lifestyle aspects (job and family commitments) teaching commitments, holidays and down time. The programme will include technical (on snow) training, fitness training (off snow), as well as mental skills training.
In addition, each person going On Track will receive details where all their training information including techincal and fitness profiles, video clips of training footage as well as new drills and exercises will be stored. Click on the link above to see what it's all about...!
To ensure your training programme evolves throughout the year, we propose 3 consultations, with the ON TRACK
Skill Development week acting as the first. We’ll then follow this up with full test results and a complete
training programme. The third consultation will come in the form of further email alerts with training progressions and adaptations, as well as a full review of training to date and reassessment of goals and time scales.
