having loved skiing from that first tentative day at the lecht in bonny scotland, wearing my little red booties to the very last bubble ride, of the very last minute of the very last day of this season in meribel, i can only say that every day it keeps getting better.
i love it as much now as i ever did, probably more. teaching has given me a chance to keep on learning myself and keep my enthusiasm on fire. i love seeing others get the buzz of learning a skill, getting over another hurdle, learning to control themselves, maybe go left and right a bit, push their limits, take to the skies, the list is endless.
my philosophy for skiing / life (is there a difference?!?!) is to keep on smiling every day, work hard, persevere and keep on smiling some more, even when you might not want to. take what you can today cos tomorrow it might not be there.
during the summer months when the skiing goes on hold i can usually be found falling off a surfboard somewhere around scotland, chasing butterflies and pressing flowers.
so if you think you are up for it, then i'll be seeing you on the slopes sometime.
p.s. and you'd better be coming armed with a couple of planks my friend cos there's a whole lot of fun to be had with them on your feet!
