Not normally into philosphy , Dougie shares his take on life as it stands right now.... skiing seems to be taking up most of my year right now... 46 weeks on snow over the last 12 months! from humble beginnings on cairngorm to the more celubrious surroundings of val d'isere, skiing has always been about freedom and being able to go fast. the realisation of how much more there is to learn in every apsect of skiing definitely gives me the motivation to keep getting better at the sport. the challenge of improving my own skiing never goes away. i set up r21 in 2004 and it has steadily grown ever since. we started with a 2 week GS camp and have now progressed to 4 separate training programmes, training many more people throughout the year. working with a bunch of coaches who are talented, motivating and inspirational gets you going and means life is fun, challenging and rewarding. life and work vary all the time, from val d'isere to verbier to zermatt to scotland to new zealand. life is good. |
